BOOK REVIEW:- SENSE AND SENSIBILITY

“Do not let the behavior of others destroy your inner peace.”

Sense and Sensibility is one of the finest novels of Jane Austen. It was published in 1811, anonymously. Later, it is considered the best classic novel of its age.

Sense and Sensibility novel is filled with wise lessons. It is a story of two sisters, from the Dashwood family. One makes decisions with thinking and has intelligence over matters, never give value more to feelings,  Elinor is Know as Sense(wise). Another sister, who quickly with the flow of feelings does things and makes mistakes is Marianne, she is Sensibility (sensible).

The way, Jane Austen presented the picture of her age is admirable. The way woman was treated, the wealth, greed, and disloyalty were there, we see all in this novel as well.

Sense and Sensibility is novel, l think, every young girl/boy must read it. Because l find that l did mistakes and I have experience from them. If l could read that novel in my teenage, l must be more mature than l was.

Elinor is intelligent, she holds the responsibility of family with her mother. Help every member as being elder in siblings. But her calmness and beautiful nature attract the reader towards her character, so be wise and love like her. While Marianne who is younger than Elinor. Fall in love with Willoughby, without knowing much details about his feelings. She is one, reflects the young teenagers, who do things under the steam of emotions, be sensible all time. I find myself in her character. But l want to like Elinor. Her heart breaks when she knows the intentions of Willoughby and his engagement. She suffered more for that heartbreak.

“The more I know of the world, the more I am convinced that I shall never see a man whom I can really love. I require so much!”

The story of the novel slowly rises. The more I read the more things l reveal. This novel shows us love and marriage themes as well as Jane Austen's other novels.

Edward was cool but l like the character of Colonel Brandon. Brandon is so caring, loving, and charming in the novel.

“I come here with no expectations, only to profess, now that I am at liberty to do so, that my heart is and always will be...yours.”

The novel is long, but here l just write a few of my views after completed it. Recommend to all read it then see you love Pride and Prejudice more or Sense and Sensibility.👭
